Davey’s acute ear and sound experience allow him to distil the very essence of a song and craft arrangements showcasing the underlying groove inherent in his playing. His voice, reserved, yet soulful and resonant along with his sympathetic guitar chops, elevate Celine’s and other songs to new and sometimes surprising places. Celine provides rhythm guitar and a powerhouse vocal performance, she can own the biggest banger, feel the suffering of a blues standard or dial it right back to expose all the sentiment in a ballad.
